To hark back to your initial scuba lessons you of course know that coloured light disappears fast when you head deeper, so with this in mind a scuba dive light is a superb addition to your kit, even on a daytime dive
When selecting your scuba dive light you need to consider its future applications, for example a small 2.1 watt halogen light would make an ideal daytime torch for peering into nooks and crannies, but be pretty useless on a full night dive. Similarly the most popular 50 watt HID torches would be more than a little overkill on your average daytime dive
