There now a number of brands of steel cylinder in the UK market place, increasing the overall choice available. We have however resisted the lure of the cheaper brands and stuck with the original Faber Steel cylinders, not least due to their excellent reputation for consistent quality. This unit is without doubt the most popular size and format of all cylinders used in the UK. It has a 12L capacity, 7” diameter, with 232 bar working pressure, and is fully manufactured in accordance with BS 5045. To maintain the overall quality of the unit as a whole we have used a UK manufactured, fully serviceable, MDE DIN / International convertible valve, allowing you to adjust between A/Clamp or DIN configuration as required. Additional features include a heavy duty, self draining boot. As a general recommendation this 12L cylinder is ideal for most recreational diving purposes, and is ideal for that move to twins at a later date. However if you’re not the tallest diver on the boat you many want to consider the Dumpy style 12L cylinder, as it is considerably shorter.
