Everyone knows being towed along underwater is better than swimming right?  Well now there are a range of DPVs that are not only light on the pocket but are small and compact as well.  No more big bulky scooters to haul around the dive site or boat deck!

The Bladefish Seajet DPV comes in three models, aimed at various levels of diver and snorkeler.

Advances in battery technology allow the Bladefish to be small and compact yet still powerful, meaning that the bulk battery compartment is no longer required.

The base model, the Bladefish 2000, has a respectable speed and power rating.  For the more adventures diver, you can go all the way up to the Bladefish 5000, which offers a 50m depth rating, 6kmh speed and up to 2hrs run time.

SiTech, who manufacture all the low pressure inflation hoses uses on Mobby’s  Mares drysuits have announced a product recall for removal of a plastic flow restricting insert.

The affected low pressure hoses contain a flow restricting insert, coloured either black, blue or green, which can become dislodged, causing an obstruction of the air flow.

Both Mares and‚ SiTech‚ are recommending that you do not dive with a hose subject to this recall, or with a drysuit or other equipment that has been connected to such a hose.

The following Mares products, sold from 2006 thru to 2009 are included in the recall: Polarfit, Dryfit and Icefit Drysuits.

Low pressure hoses for the above Mares products should be returned to an authorised Mares Distributor to get the insert removed at no charge.  Any non Mares‚ SiTech‚ products should be returned to an approved‚ SiTech‚ distributor.

One of the hotly anticipated products of 2009, the Scubapro A700 is nearing it’s launch.
